College of Engineering, Aranmula (AEC) is a college in Aranmula, Pathanamthitta, Kerala, India. It is affiliated with the Kerala Technological University (KTU).It was founded in 2014, as part of the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE).It is the 8th Engineering College under the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education. CAPE was formed to establish educational institutions to provide education and training, research and development, and consultancy. The society is promoted by the Co-operation Department of the government of Kerala and is an autonomous society.

Admissions

 

Both the merits and management seats in all branches are filled by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) Kerala, through their official webportal, www.cee-kerala.org

The admission to the approved seats are as per the rules and regulations formulated by the government of Kerala. Three classes of seats are available for admission. Merit seat -50 % of the total approved seats, Management seats- 35% of the total approved seats and NRI seats 15% of the total approved seat. The allotment to merit and management seats are from the qualified list prepared through entrance examinations conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala. NRI seats are filled by the College/CAPE authorities through a procedure directed by the university and AICTE New Delhi. In addition to the approved intake, five percent of sanctioned intake of the college shall be filled under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW) on the basis of merit of the candidate and the annual income of the parents. The scheme is proposed to provide Tuition Fee Waiver to women, economically backward and physically handicapped meritorious students pursuing degree in Engineering & Technology. The Waiver is limited to the tuition fee as approved by the State Level Fee Committee. All other Fees except tuition fees have to be paid by the beneficiary.

For admission to the college, the students have to register options separately for both merit and management seats of the interested branches in the CEE website during the time limit fixed by CEE. The allotment shall be based on the merit obtained by the students after considering both the entrance rank and plus two mark. For admission to NRI seats the student has to contact principal/college office directly with NRI details and other relevant documents for initial registration and subsequent interview. The admission shall also be based on the merit of the student.

FEES STRUCTURE

Merit Seat- 35000 Tuition Fee
Management Seat - 65000 Tuition Fee
NRI Seat - 100000 Tuition Fee + 1.25 Lakh Refundable Deposit


LATERAL ENTRY

Lateral Entry Scheme is intended to admit meritorious Diploma holders to the Second Year/Third Semester of the B. Tech courses to acquire a Degree in Engineering. Lateral Entry Scheme is approved by Government of Kerala for 10% of the sanctioned seats in addition to total seats. Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering/ Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or Institutions under Govt. of India after undergoing regular course of 3 years in an approved institution are eligible for writing the Entrance Test (LET) conducted by the Joint Controller of Technical Examinations, Thiruvananthapuram for admission to the lateral entry seats available in all the branches of the college. The allotment of seats will be made by the Director of Technical Education (DTE), Kerala on the basis of the rank list published and availability of seats in the various categories through the website www.dtekerala.gov.in, according to the options given by the candidates. SPOT ADMISSION

Even after the admission through government allotment, if seats are still lying vacant in different branches, a spot admission will be conducted on a suitable date as per the schedule and directions given by government of Kerala through appropriate authorities.
