Introduction

National Skill India Mission is an agency for Testing and Certification of Skills already possessed by a candidate. National Skill India Mission is a subsidiary of Bharath Sevak Samaj, established in 1952 by Indian Parliament. It is a National Development Agency promoted by the Planning Commission, Govt. of India to ensure public Co-operation for implementing government plans.

Skills development system which supports employment generation, economic growth and social development processes. Skills development system based on strong public private partnership in training and assessment of unskilled youths. Skills development system responds to technological change, employment requirements and improvements in the productivity and competitiveness of industry. Skills development system which supports to achieve inclusive growth by providing equal access to training to all, and responds to the needs of the unorganized sector. Skills development system in which qualifications and certification are quality assured and recognized nationally, across organizations, as well as internationally.

Objectives of NSIM

Bridging the gap for employment generation Reducing Poverty Preparing the youth of India as a manpower resource for World Markets Diversifying Skills development programmes to meet the changing requirements, particularly of emerging knowledge economy. Promoting greater and active involvement of social partners and forging a strong, symbiotic, public-private partnership in skills development and mobilizing adequate investments for financing skills development sustainable.

Aim

The emphasis is to skill the youths in such a way so that they get employment and opportunity to improve entrepreneurship and ability to adapt to changing technologies and labour market demands. The idea is to raise confidence, improve productivity and give proper direction through skill assessments and certification of the unorganized sector, to enable them to get blue-collar jobs.

Benefits Of Certification for Skilled Hands

A candidate might have acquired a particular skill by experience from a workshop or from a Training Centre or by some other means. But he/ she will not be able to acquire a job in India or abroad, or he/she will not get a loan from a Bank, only because of not having a valid certificate. Here comes our importance. We assess the skills already possessed by the candidates and issue certificates. These certificates can be used by the candidates for jobs in industries of India and abroad.

Based on our recent survey, we found that there are numerous skilled human resourses in INDIA who are incapable to earn a living as they lack a document to prove their abilities. On the basis of our studies regarding the above, we came to know that certain institutions can marvell in these sectors .And thus Nsim find to choose institutions to mobilize and assess such resourses in order to uplift them as skilled youth. The Centres have to do is

There are thousands of skilled candidates without holding any skill certificate. You have to mobilize such candidates. Assess the skill acquired by them. Compare it with the required skill. Train them so as to fill the skill gap. Again assess them to verify whether the required skill is now acquired. Details of the candidates are to be forwarded to us.

Nsim Role

We assess the skills already possessed by the candidates and give gap filling training to the informally skilled people to bridge the gap in the skill sector demands for that particular job role. After bridging the gap, we certify them based on the skill test evaluation. These certificates can be used by the candidates for jobs in industries of India and abroad. It also opens a door for Govt. Skill Certification through RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning).

Qualification Summary For Candidates

Formal educational qualifications are not needed for the candidates. If you can put some effort, you can earn Crores of Rupees in a year or two.
