An analysis of the Indian Job seekers / students in the job market reveals that their performance is not up to the mark compared with students or job seekers from other country.

Selection process of  the jobs are based on a series of tests , interviews and elimination rounds , where only the best who has the potential core skills and soft skills makes it to the premier institutions / companies in the country.

enlightenedCritical Thinking skill and problem solving skill

enlightenedInterpersonal Skills

enlightenedCommunication Skills

enlightenedEntrepreneurship skill

enlightenedTeam skill and leadership skill

enlightenedLifelong learning skill

enlightenedEthics, moral and professionalism

These soft skills are identified to be the most critical skills in the current global job market especially in a fast moved era of technology.

WHY OUR STUDENTS LACKS THESE SKILLS

The curriculum used by the education sector in our country to transact educational objectives has no space to include the essential soft skills mentioned above. So the students won't get any chance to develop these skills in their academic career. Moreover these skills can be developed only through continuous practice.

In the school / college there is no time or facilities to develop these skills..

PRESENT SCENARIO IN THE JOB MARKET

At Present there are so many Job vacancies in Industries and other areas for want of appropriate candidates with employable skills. At the same time there are so many candidates seeking for the same job after completing their academic studies. The situation is that academically qualified candidates are not employable.

Even the first rank holders in Academic Studies, fail in the interviews for Civil Service and in interviews conducted for Professional jobs.

This situation has to be changed. How?

SKILL ACQUISITION AND INTEGRATED LEARNING [SAIL]

There should be a system to create employability in students undergoing academic courses. And this system should go parallel to the Academic Studies. This thought has given rise to Skill Acquisition And Integrated Learning (SAIL)

Skill Acquisition And Integrated Learning (SAIL) is a System developed by National Skill India Mission (Nsim), to develop employability in candidates, along with their academic studies, through a set of skills. Employability skills are a set of skills and behaviors that are necessary for every job.

As a responsible educational research organization , National  Skill India Mission 's dream is to give the best possible education to the students to attain the above said skills .

National Skill India Mission Developed a unique programme called Skill Acquisition and Integrated Learning [SAIL] , which is a 60 hour long training programme based on job related trainingThrough this programme the student can select a job as the medium to develop the soft skills.

More than 1000 Job role training are available in SAIL ..

OUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

It also involves the ability to apply knowledge and understanding in different situations.

For ' Education for Sustainable Development " [ESD] to be successful , it must give students practical skills that will enable them to continue learning after they leave school to have a sustainable livelihood and to live sustainable lives.  The critical thinking skills , skills to organize and interpret data and information , skills to formulate questions and the ability to analysis issues that confront communities are  greatly addressed in the meticulously designed job training of National skill India Mission.
