Eligibility Criteria for B.Voc in Audiometry

Students who completed plus two and one year of BSS Diploma course in Audiometry Technician is eligible to get direct admission to the second year of B. Voc course (3rd semester)

Those who qualified SSLC and one year of BSS Diploma course in Audiometry Technician are eligible to get admission to the B. Voc course.
Course Duration

Three years for those who enter into the course generally.

Candidates who completed BSS diploma course are possible to get admission through lateral entry scheme (For further reference check Eligibility criteria section)

Duties of an Audiometric Technician
-
perform basic audiometry under the supervision of a qualified Audiologist. (Basic audiometry includes pure tone air/bone conduction testing, basic speech testing, acoustic impedance testing).

be specifically trained to be employed in hearing screening programs administered by a qualified Audiologist;
-
assist the Audiologist with the testing of infants, pre-school (i.e. 0-6 years) and difficult-to-test clients;
-
perform hearing aid evaluations
-
take earmold impressions and make modifications;
-
conduct minor hearing aid repairs and modifications;
-
provide description of audiogram and basic audiometric findings.
Advance Course
