Through Hole Assembly Operator 

The individual in the job is responsible for manually fixing the components in the circuit boards using hand tools, solders it by using soldering station and does quality check of the PCBs before passing it to wave soldering section or stores.

Applicable National Occupational  Standards (NOS)

  1. Mount components and perform through hole soldering operation
  2. Coordinate with others

Mount components and perform through hole soldering operation: This OS unit is about fixing the components in the printed circuit boards and doing manual soldering using soldering station

This unit/ task covers the following: Collecting the desired components from stores as per design chart : Mounting the components on the board, Soldering the components, Performing visual quality check on the soldered PCB, Following the standard safety procedures

ELE/N0001 Coordinate with others: This OS unit is about communicating with colleagues and seniors in order to maintain smooth work flow

This unit/ task covers the following:  Interacting with supervisor to understand the requirements and work accordingly, Coordinating with colleagues within and outside the department to carry out the work, Receiving feedback on the work done, Communicating any potential hazards or expected process disruption, Knowlegde and Understanding,
