Master of Science in Animal Breeding & Genetics is a postgraduate Animal Husbandry course. It provides training in genetics and quantitative skills which are increasingly required by industry and research to exploit the explosion of information in genomics. Students gain the knowledge and skills required to apply quantitative genetics theory to practical problems in the animal-science industry, and to undertake research in quantitative genetics, genome analysis and animal improvement. The knowledge on animal breeding and genomics is used on themes such as animal welfare, sustainability, food security, food quality and safety, ecology, as well as on other animal functions such as recreation, sport and guide dogs. The course is career orienting in nature that opens many jobs after its completion.

Eligibility

A candidate who has passed Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with minimum 45% marks in aggregate or any other equivalent qualification.Some of the very reputed universities and colleges conduct entrance examination for admission to the degree courses.
