Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Director General (AAIB)- Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized University plus 14 years’ experience in Airworthiness or Air safety or Air Traffic Control with three years’ experience in the field of flight safety and Accident Investigation on Civil or Defence Registered Aircraft; OR Bachelor's Degree in Science with Physics and Mathematics as one of the subjects and 15 years’ experience in Airworthiness / ATC/ Manufacturing / Design / Safety Investigation in Aviation. OR Holding a Commercial Pilot License/Aircraft Engineer License of 15 years.

Director- Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized University plus 11 years’ experience in Airworthiness or Air safety or Air Traffic Control with two years’ experience in the field of flight safety and Accident Investigation on Civil or Defence Registered Aircraft; OR Bachelor's Degree in Science with Physics and Mathematics as one of the subjects and 12 years’ experience in Airworthiness / ATC/ Manufacturing / Design / Safety Investigation in Aviation. OR Holding a Commercial Pilot License/Aircraft Engineer License of 12 years.

Deputy Director- Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized University plus 09 years’ experience in Airworthiness or Air safety or Air Traffic Control with two years’ experience in the field of flight safety and Accident Investigation on Civil or Defence Registered Aircraft; OR Bachelor's Degree in Science with Physics and Mathematics as one of the subjects and 10 years’ experience in Airworthiness / ATC/ Manufacturing / Design / Safety Investigation in Aviation. OR Holding a Commercial Pilot License/Aircraft Engineer License of 10 years.

Assistant Director- Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized University plus 04 years’ experience in Airworthiness or Air safety or Air Traffic Control with two years’ experience in the field of flight safety and Accident Investigation on Civil or Defence Registered Aircraft; OR Bachelor's Degree in Science with Physics and Mathematics as one of the subjects and 05 years’ experience in Airworthiness / ATC/ Manufacturing / Design / Safety Investigation in Aviation. OR Holding a Commercial Pilot License/Aircraft Engineer License of 05 years.

Safety Investigation Officer- Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronic/ Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized University plus 2 years’ experience in one of the following areas: (a) Experience on Civil Registered Aircraft in the field of Aircraft Engineering or Airworthiness or Air Safety or Air Traffic Control or Aircraft Manufacturing/ Design Organization or in Aircraft Accident/Incident Investigation; or (b) Experience as a Pilot/ Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

Age Limit : 56 Years

 (Age Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women, as per Govt. Rules)
