Master of Arts in Yoga is a postgraduate Yoga course. Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual discipline. The aim of the program is to provide Yoga therapy to the patients who are suffering from various kinds of psychosomatic disorders.  It also provides Yoga treatment for the public along with all modern facilities of treatment available in the hospital. It trains students to develop skills of Yoga therapy, to serve the people of the society. It helps to fulfil the need of society to create individuals who are experts in this field. The duration of the course is two years and its syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters.

How is M.A. Yoga course Beneficial?

The course is beneficial for experienced Yoga teachers or senior Yoga practitioners or Health practitioners including medical professionals who want to learn and use Yoga Techniques from Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy for treatment of various diseases, like back problems (Scitica, slip disc, spondilytis et al), Heart Diseases, Diabetes, Arthritis, Hyper tension, High & Low Blood Pressure, Asthma, common cold, Obesity, Digestive Disorders, Thyroid problems, Gynacological disorders and Mental disorders like Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders including uniploar & bipolar depression, Stress disorders, Childhood problems including ADHD, Autism, MR etc. They can become teacher and lecturer after its completion; they can go for permanent lectureship after UGC-NET.

 Eligibility

  • Student who has passed Bachelor's Degree and intermediate in second division with at least 50% marks separately in both and must have offered the subject at graduation level in which he/she is seeking admission.
