WLCI, New Delhi has announced the exam dates for All India Combined Entrance Test (AICET) 2016, which will be conducted in January 2017.
Established in 1996, WLCI conducts AICET or All India Combined Entrance Test to provide admission to aspirants in the School of Fashion, School of Advertising & Graphic Design as well as School of Media & Mass Communication and Business Management offered at:
- WLCI Bangalore
- WLCI New Delhi
- WLCI Chennai
- WLCI Hyderabad
- WLCI Kathmandu
- WLCI Greater Noida
- WLCI Mumbai
- WLCI Pune
- WLCI Kolkata
- WLCI Surat
The AICET 2017 will be administered across 13 cities.
Eligibility Criteria for AICET 2017:
For Undergraduate program: Candidates with 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination, such as CBSE / State Board New Delhi or equivalent.
For Master’s Program: Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institution / university recognized in India.
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
For Foreign NATIONALS/ SAARC/ NRI Category: Candidates applying for Program for Graduates at WLCI should send SAT-1 scores directly from College Board, USA, to WLCI Head Office, New Delhi.
Application Procedure for AICET 2017:
Candidates can apply online.
Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs.2000/- (General/OBC) or Rs 1000/- (SC/ ST/ PHP) through online payment gateway (Credit Cards/Debit Cards) or through Bank Demand Draft issued in favour of “WLC College (India) Ltd” payable at New Delhi.
Paper Pattern for AICET 2017:
The exam will be a paper and pencil based test.
The written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme opted.
AICET is divided into two parts i.e. CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test).
General Ability Test (GAT) which will comprise of various sections as given below:
Quantitative Ability
Communication Ability
Analytical Ability
General Knowledge and Current Affairs
CREATIVE ABILITY TEST (CAT): This test is administered to judge the intuitive ability, power of observation in concept development and design ability of the candidate. An important aspect of the test is the creative and innovative use of color and illustration skills. For students applying for Media & Mass communication program, verbal and written communication skills will be assessed.
There is no negative marking.

Date of registration window (online payments): Thursday, December 15, 2016
Date of AICET 2017: In the month of January 2017.
Announcement of Results: May 2017.
