Bachelor of Science in Geology is an undergraduate Geology course. Geology is the science that comprises the study of the solid Earth and the processes by which it is shaped and changed. Geology provides primary evidence for plate tectonics, the history of life and evolution, and past climates. In modern times, geology is commercially important for mineral and hydrocarbon exploration and for evaluating water resources; is publicly important for the prediction and understanding of natural hazards, the remediation of environmental problems, and for providing insights into past climate change; plays an essential role in geotechnical engineering; and is a major academic discipline. The duration of B.Sc. (Geology) course is of three years.
How is B.Sc. Geology Course Beneficial?
• As the earth science is very important now-a-days and therefore Geologists are highly in demand in Industries, mining and explorations work.
• Besides of this, applicants can become part of various researches related to environment and Marine surroundings.
• The teaching line is also an option with them which is all the way available for the graduates with B.Sc. Geology degree.
• After passing the course they are able to plan programs for exploration of sites for oil, gas, water, minerals, etc.; surveying and mapping geologically promising sites: collecting, recording and analyzing samples and data from test sites and advising on the development of reserves.
