DRDO DIBT Recruitment 2025 – Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Job Role

The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) position at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) – Defence Institute of Bio-Energy Research (DIBT) is a research-based role aimed at assisting ongoing scientific projects in defense-related bio-energy and biotechnological fields.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Research Work: Conduct advanced research in the areas of bio-energy, biotechnology, environmental science, microbiology, chemistry, and related disciplines under DRDO projects.
  2. Experimentation & Analysis: Design and perform laboratory experiments, analyze data, and prepare research reports.
  3. Scientific Collaboration: Work alongside senior scientists and research teams to develop innovative defense solutions.
  4. Report Preparation: Document research findings and contribute to scientific papers, patents, and presentations.
  5. Project Contribution: Assist in DRDO’s defense-related energy and environmental projects.
  6. Laboratory Work: Handle specialized lab equipment, conduct field studies, and maintain research records.
  7. Presentation & Documentation: Present research progress in meetings, conferences, and contribute to project documentation.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of biotechnology, microbiology, bio-energy, chemistry, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques and data analysis.
  • Ability to work in a research-oriented environment and contribute to defense-based projects.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies, scientific writing, and presentation skills.

This is a temporary fellowship position with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.

To become eligible for the DRDO DIBT Recruitment 2025 – Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), candidates must have studied at recognized universities that offer M.Sc., M.Tech., or equivalent degrees in relevant fields.

Educational Qualification Requirements for JRF:

Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in one of the following disciplines:
