Job Role & Key Responsibilities
- Driving Duties:
- Drive official vehicles for Ministry of Defence officers and staff.
- Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off as per assigned schedules.
- Drive in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic rules.
- Vehicle Maintenance & Upkeep:
- Conduct regular checks of the vehicle (fuel, brakes, tires, engine, etc.).
- Report any vehicle defects or mechanical issues for timely servicing.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
- Documentation & Logs:
- Maintain a logbook for daily trips, fuel consumption, and maintenance.
- Ensure proper documentation of mileage, fuel refills, and servicing details.
- Security & Safety Compliance:
- Follow security protocols while driving government officials.
- Ensure vehicle security, especially in restricted and sensitive areas.
- Follow emergency procedures in case of accidents or breakdowns.
- Assistance & Support Tasks:
- Help with loading/unloading official documents or minor parcels.
- Assist in office errands when not driving.
Eligibility Criteria (General Requirements)
- Educational Qualification:
- Minimum 10th Pass from a recognized board.
- Driving License:
- Must have a valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) & HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle) license.
- Experience:
- Generally, 2-3 years of driving experience is required.
- Skills Required:
- Knowledge of traffic rules & vehicle maintenance.
- Basic understanding of road signs and safety regulations.
- Ability to drive in different road conditions.
Selection Process
- Written Test (if applicable) – Covers basic knowledge of driving, traffic rules, and road safety.
- Skill Test (Driving Test) – Practical test to assess driving skills.

Pay Scale & Benefits
- Pay Level: Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
