1. Job Role: X-Ray Technician
Primary Responsibilities:
Radiographic Imaging:
- Operate X-ray machines, CT scanners, and other radiology equipment to capture diagnostic images.
- Adjust machine settings and positioning for accurate imaging.
Patient Positioning & Preparation:
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure they are comfortable and positioned correctly.
- Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
Radiation Safety & Protection:
- Use lead aprons, gloves, and shields to protect patients and staff from radiation hazards.
- Follow government health and safety regulations.
Image Processing & Quality Control:
- Process X-ray films or digital images for accurate diagnosis.
- Ensure images meet high-quality standards before submission to doctors.
Medical Equipment Handling & Maintenance:
- Perform routine checks, maintenance, and calibration of X-ray machines.
- Report any technical issues or malfunctions to the relevant department.
Record-Keeping & Reporting:
- Maintain patient records, X-ray reports, and imaging history.
- Assist doctors with interpreting X-ray results when required.
Assisting Radiologists & Doctors:
- Work with radiologists, physicians, and surgeons to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Assist in emergency trauma cases, fractures, and internal injury assessments.
