AAI Recruitment 2025 Notification Overview

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has officially released a recruitment notification for JE ATC (Air Traffic Controller). For all details regarding the recruitment process, eligibility, and application procedure, refer to the official notification.

AAI Recruitment 2025 - Qualification

  • Full Time Regular Bachelors' Degree of three years in Science (B.Sc) with Physics and Mathematics 
  • Full Time Regular Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in any discipline. (Physics & Mathematics should be subjects in any one of the semesters curriculum).
  • Candidates having B.E./ B. Tech/ B. Sc. (Engg.) Degree are allowed to apply where essential qualification is prescribed as Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • From a Recognized/Deemed university or from an apex institution i.e. (IIT/IIMs/XLRI/TISS etc.) recognized by Govt. of India

AAI Recruitment 2025 - Age Limit

  • Maximum age 27 years as on 24.05.2025.
  • Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates. Vacancies reserved for OBC category are meant for candidates belonging to ‘Non-Creamy Layer’ as per the guidelines of Govt. of India on the subject.
  • Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PwBD candidates where post is identified suitable for relevant category of disability, supported by the Certificate of Disability issued on or before 24.05.2025 by the Competent Authority.

Ex-serviceman and Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers or Short Service Commissioned Officers who have rendered at least five years military services and have been released

  • on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency

  • on account of physical disability attributable to military service or on invalidment

  • shall be allowed maximum relaxation of 05 years in the upper age limit.

Upper age limit is relaxable by maximum 10 years for candidates who are in regular service of AAI and have completed their probation on initial appointment.

The date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination certificates will only be accepted. No subsequent requests for change in date of birth will be entertained.

Job Role: Junior Executive (Air Traffic Control)

As a Junior Executive (ATC), your primary responsibilities include:

  • Air Traffic Management: Ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft within designated airspace by monitoring and directing aircraft during takeoff, landing, and en-route phases.​Careers360 Competitions

  • Coordination: Collaborating with other ATC units and airport personnel to manage air traffic flow and minimize delays.​

  • Emergency Handling: Responding promptly to emergency situations, providing necessary instructions to pilots, and coordinating with emergency services when required.​

  • Compliance: Adhering to national and international aviation regulations and protocols to maintain safety and efficiency in air traffic operations.
