• Matriculation plus two years ITI in any one of the following Technical Trades: Electrician / Instrument Mechanic / Electronics Mechanics / Wireman / Fitter / Mechanic Computer Hardware / Mechanic - Industrial Electronics / Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance / Mech.
• Communication Equipment Maintenance, Mechanic Mechatronics or the qualification equivalent to NCVT/NCTVT/NAC as certified by the defense Services.

Salary

• IDA Pay Scale (In Rs.): 25000 - 59060 with 3% annual increment. The allowances as applicable, as per the rules of the BMRCL O&M Wing.

 Job Role: Maintainer

Maintainers are responsible for the upkeep, repair, and smooth functioning of various systems and infrastructure within the metro rail network.

 Key Responsibilities:

1. Routine Maintenance

• Perform regular preventive maintenance of metro rail assets (track, signaling, electrical, rolling stock, etc.).
• Identify and report potential issues or abnormalities in systems.

2. Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Attend to breakdowns and failures.
• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs for equipment like lifts, escalators, HVAC, electrical panels, etc.

3. Equipment Handling

• Operate maintenance machinery and tools.
• Ensure proper care and calibration of tools and instruments.

4. Safety Compliance

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines strictly.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency response actions.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, faults, and repairs.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports and escalate recurring issues.

6. Coordination

• Work in coordination with engineers, section supervisors, and control room.
• Assist during major repair or upgrade activities.

7. Shift Work

• Work in shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on metro operational needs.
