Job Roles and Responsibilities

As a Specialist Grade II in ESIC, your primary responsibilities encompass:​

• Clinical Duties: Providing specialized medical care in your area of expertise, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients.​

• Administrative Tasks: Maintaining accurate patient records, preparing medical reports, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols.​

• Supervision and Training: Overseeing junior medical staff and participating in their training and development.​

• Community Health Initiatives: Engaging in health education and preventive health programs to promote community well-being.​

• Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest medical advancements and integrating them into practice.​ESIC

 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Specialist Grade II positions:​

• Educational Qualification: A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.​

• Postgraduate Qualification: A Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty.​

• Experience:

  • For Postgraduate Degree holders: At least 3 years of experience in the concerned specialty.

  • For Postgraduate Diploma holders: At least 5 years of experience in the concerned specialty.​

• Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as of May 26, 2025. Age relaxations apply as per government norms.​

Pay Scale

• Senior Scale: Level–12 of the Pay Matrix with an initial pay of ₹78,800/- as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).​

• Junior Scale: Level–11 of the Pay Matrix with an initial pay of ₹67,700/- as per the 7th CPC.​

In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will be entitled to allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance, as per rules in force.
