Job Role Overview:
The Territory Sales Incharge (TSI) is responsible for managing and expanding the sales network within a specific territory in Kerala. The role involves distributor and retailer management, sales forecasting, achievement of sales targets, and ensuring effective implementation of marketing and promotional strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Operations & Target Achievement
- Drive sales growth in the assigned territory to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets.
- Develop and implement territory-specific sales strategies in line with organizational goals.
- Monitor product availability, visibility, and merchandising in retail outlets.
Distributor & Retailer Management
- Appoint, manage, and support distributors and sub-stockists.
- Conduct regular visits to distributors and retailers to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure timely billing, order processing, and stock replenishment.
Market Development
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the retail network.
- Conduct market research and analyze competitor activity.
- Implement promotional schemes and ensure timely execution at the ground level.
Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain accurate records of sales, customer accounts, and stock movement.
- Submit regular reports to regional/state sales managers on sales performance and market trends.
- Coordinate with supply chain/logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
Team Collaboration & Field Execution
- Work closely with the marketing and customer support teams.
- Train and motivate field sales representatives and promoters (if applicable).
- Organize product demos, roadshows, and dealer meets in the territory.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing is preferred.
- Experience: 1–3 years in FMCG/Consumer Goods/Pharma/Distribution Sales.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and mobile reporting tools
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory
Other Job Requirements:
- Valid two-wheeler driving license and personal vehicle (may be mandatory)
- Good knowledge of local geography, language (Malayalam), and market conditions
