- Rs.68900-205500 and Super Specialty allowance of Rs.30,000/- will be paid in addition to the salary.
Job Role of Assistant Professor (Medical Colleges) – APMSRB Recruitment
An Assistant Professor in a medical college, under APMSRB, is responsible for:
1. Academic Responsibilities
-
Teaching undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS/DNB) students.
-
Preparing lecture plans, delivering lectures, and conducting tutorials and practicals.
-
Designing and evaluating internal assessments and university exams.
-
Guiding students in their research projects or thesis work (if applicable).
2. Clinical Responsibilities (for clinical departments)
-
Providing patient care in associated hospitals.
-
Attending ward rounds, outpatient departments (OPDs), and emergency duties.
-
Supervising and training interns, junior residents, and other healthcare staff.
3. Research Responsibilities
-
Conducting and publishing original research work in reputed journals.
-
Participating in clinical trials and collaborative research.
-
Attending conferences, seminars, and CMEs (Continuing Medical Education).
4. Administrative Responsibilities
-
Participating in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and committee work.
-
Assisting the Head of Department (HoD) in scheduling classes, exams, and clinical duties.

Ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory policies.
5. Other Duties
-
Participating in health camps, awareness programs, and public health initiatives.

Helping with accreditation processes (NMC inspections, NAAC, etc.)

Mentoring and counseling students academically and professionally.
