RBI Recruitment 2025 Notification Overview

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially released a recruitment notification for Banks Medical Consultant. For all details regarding the recruitment process, eligibility, and application procedure, refer to the official notification.

Job Role: Bank’s Medical Consultant (BMC)

Nature of Engagement: Part-time, contract-based for a period of three years, with fixed hourly remuneration.

Remuneration: ₹1,000 per hour. The contract can be terminated by either party with three months' notice or remuneration in lieu thereof. 

 Key Responsibilities

  1. Medical Services:

    • Provide medical consultation, prescribe medicines, and administer injections free of charge to RBI staff, their family members, and eligible retired employees.

    • Attend to emergency medical cases within the Bank's premises or as directed. 

  2. Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the Bank's affairs and patient information.

    • Comply with all orders and directions from authorized Bank officials.

    • Ensure availability during designated duty hours and make acceptable alternate arrangements during absences, not exceeding five days at a time. 

  3. Professional Conduct:

    • Refrain from engaging in political activities or demonstrations.

    • Avoid association with trade unions or participation in strikes.

    • Do not solicit or accept gifts from employees or patients.

    • Abstain from consuming intoxicating substances during duty hours or appearing intoxicated in public places.

    • Avoid any form of sexual harassment or misconduct. 


 Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Candidates with a postgraduate degree in General Medicine are also eligible.

  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience practicing medicine in a hospital or clinic.

  • Location: Should have a dispensary or place of residence within a radius of 3-5 km from the Bank's dispensaries.
