Primary Role of Enumerator:

To conduct field surveys and collect data from individuals, households, or institutions as part of WAPCOS’ infrastructure, water resource, sanitation, and development projects.

Detailed Job Responsibilities:

1.  Field Survey and Data Collection

• Visit assigned households or locations in rural or urban areas.
• Conduct face-to-face interviews using structured questionnaires.
• Collect data on socio-economic conditions, water supply, sanitation, irrigation, housing, etc.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of each response.

2.  Use of Digital Tools

• Operate tablets, smartphones, or hand-held devices for digital data entry.
• Use survey apps or online forms for real-time data uploading.
• Troubleshoot basic device or app issues during fieldwork.

3.  Field Operations

• Follow the survey schedule and assigned route plans.
• Ensure maximum household/individual coverage per day.
• Work in varied field conditions (hot weather, remote villages, etc.).
• Interact respectfully with local communities and authorities.

4.  Quality Control

• Verify data collected for inconsistencies or errors.
• Cross-check responses when necessary.
• Report any suspicious or conflicting information to supervisors.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Submit daily progress reports to the team leader or field coordinator.
• Maintain records of completed households, respondent details, and any issues faced.

6. Team Coordination

• Attend pre-survey training and briefing sessions.
• Coordinate with supervisors, peer enumerators, and technical staff.
• Follow data collection protocols and ethical guidelines.
