Tata Steel Recruitment 2025 Age Limit

  • Should have been born on or after, 1st May 1993 for General candidates
  • Should have been born on or after, 1st May 1990 for Female/ SC/ ST/ Transgender/PwD candidates.

Qualification

  • Candidates Should Posses Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical / Production / Metallurgical from any institute, recognized by AICTE or UGC. 

Emoluments

  • The selected candidates will be provisionally placed at Ludhiana at starting Basic Salary of Rs. 13,500/- pm with CTC of Rs. 5.06 LPA and will be designated as Jr Engineer, I (NL-D grade). The other emoluments and benefits will be as per Company’s rule applicable to this grade. Candidates possessing 4 years or more of relevant experience will be additionally compensated as per norms.

Job Role: Junior Engineer Trainee (JET)

As a JET, you will undergo a comprehensive 12-month training program, combining theoretical instruction with hands-on experience across various departments. Upon successful completion, you may be considered for permanent placement at Tata Steel or its subsidiaries .

 Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Assist in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems within your assigned department.

  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for efficiency enhancement and contribute to the implementation of improvements.

  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze operational data to support decision-making and optimize processes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.

  • Training Participation: Engage in various training sessions to develop both technical and soft skills.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of activities, reports, and presentations as required.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment .

 Compensation & Benefits

  • Training Stipend: ₹15,047 per month during the 12-month training period.

  • Post-Training Salary: ₹24,849 to ₹26,290 per month, with potential for additional allowances and incentives upon confirmation 

  • Additional Perks: House Rent Allowance, Medical Allowance, Reimbursement of phone bills, and other medical benefits.

  • Accommodation: Free hostel accommodation with subsidized meals during the training period 

 Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: 3- or 4-year full-time degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Metallurgy, Ceramic, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an AICTE/UGC-recognized institution.

  • Age Limit: General candidates should be born between January 1, 1998, and January 1, 2006; SC/ST candidates between January 1, 1995, and January 1, 2006 

  • Minimum Marks: General candidates require at least 60% marks; SC/ST candidates require at least 50% marks in their qualifying examination.
