Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample Collection & Testing:
    • Collect blood, urine, sputum, and other clinical samples.

    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment like centrifuges, microscopes, auto-analyzers.

    • Prepare reports for physicians and health officers.
  • Infection Control & Safety:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clerical Work:

  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist in day-to-day operations of the health department.

  • Documentation & Record-Keeping:

  • Coordination & Assistance:

Nursing Officer – Roles and Responsibilities

1. Patient Care & Clinical Duties

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in OPD, IPD, maternity, pediatric, surgical, or emergency wards.
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, respiration) and report abnormalities.
  • Assist in minor procedures and surgeries.
  • Manage post-operative care, including wound dressing and patient mobility support.

2. Maternal & Child Health Services

  • Assist in antenatal and postnatal care for pregnant women.
  • Conduct safe deliveries (especially in PHCs/CHCs where nurse-led delivery care is practiced).

  • Educate mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding, and family planning.

3. Public Health & Program Support
