Job Role: Branch Head
Key Responsibilities:
- Branch Operations Management:
- Supervise daily operations of the branch ensuring efficiency and compliance with NABFINS guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial and operational activities.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Customer Service Officers (CSOs) and field staff.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluation for branch employees.
- Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities, expand client base, and enhance outreach in rural and semi-urban areas.
- Promote NABFINS' financial products and services including microfinance and livelihood support.
- Credit Management:
- Ensure proper loan appraisal, disbursement, and collection processes.
- Monitor the portfolio quality and take steps to minimize Non-Performing Assets (NPAs).
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, SHGs (Self-Help Groups), JLGs (Joint Liability Groups), and local institutions.
- Address customer grievances and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to RBI/NABARD/NABFINS policies and regulatory compliance.
- Implement risk mitigation measures at the branch level.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on branch performance, loan disbursals, recoveries, and audit readiness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Coordination with Head Office:
- Act as the primary link between the branch and regional/head office for policy implementation, reporting, and operational matters.
Desirable Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management abilities
- Proficiency in local language(s)
- Good understanding of rural credit markets and microfinance operations
- Basic computer skills and experience with MIS
