Job Roles & Responsibilities

 1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

Typical duties include:

  • General office support: Handling files, registers, correspondence, receiving/delivering documents

  • Data entry & record maintenance: Entering data, maintaining physical and digital records

  • Typing and correspondence: Preparing letters, reports with typing devices, possibly basic computer applications

  • Front-desk interaction: Attending to public and internal communications, telephone handling

  • Assistance in daily administrative tasks under supervision

This aligns with Level 2 designation under 7th CPC for LDC roles .

 2. Driver

Key responsibilities are:

  • Vehicle operation: Safely driving a government vehicle to scheduled destinations within Goa

  • Vehicle upkeep: Routine inspection, minor maintenance checks, ensuring the vehicle is in good condition

  • Compliance and documentation: Maintaining logbooks, trip records, fuel usage reports

  • Adherence to schedules: Punctuality in transport duties, following road regulations and organizational policies

  • Possibly assisting in minor mechanical tasks or coordinating with service workshops

SELECTION PROCESS

Candidates will be chosen based on:

  1. Document validation (proof of education, age, computer skills, license for driver post)

  2. Skill tests:

    • Clerk: Typing test in English (~30 WPM) & basic computer literacy

    • Driver: Driving test evaluated on road safety, vehicle handling
