Brief Information: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has announced a notification for the recruitment of Data Engineer, Specialist and Other Vacancy. The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has officially released a recruitment notification for Data Engineer, Specialist and Other. For all details regarding the recruitment process, eligibility, and application procedure, refer to the official notification.

Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

  • Role Summary: Lead NABARD’s cybersecurity and information‑security initiatives.

  • Core Responsibilities:

    • Implement and maintain Cyber Security Policy, ISMS, and digital resilience frameworks.

    • Monitor emerging cyber threats; oversee Security Operations Center (SOC).

    • Supervise VAPT, red‑teaming, anti‑phishing exercises; report findings to the Board.

    • Draft, manage, and update info‑security policies; approve security exceptions.

    • Drive cyber crisis management planning and incident response.

    • Engage with auditors, regulators, and external agencies; address RBI/CERT‑In/IT Act compliance.

    • Conduct awareness programs and train staff, subsidiaries, and vendors.

    • Manage VAPT, GRC tools, and external cyber-security certifications.

    • Strengthen stakeholder management and vendor risk controls

2. Data Scientist / AI Engineer (DEAR Department)

  • Role Summary: Build and operationalize data-driven models and analytics for agrarian insights.

  • Core Responsibilities:

    • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.

    • Build automated data marts, dashboards; reduce manual processes via scripting.

    • Design, deploy, and monitor ML/AI/NLP models in production.

    • Collaborate with domain teams to scope analytics use cases.

    • Handle structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured big‑data pipelines.

    • Use tools: Python/R, SQL, NoSQL, cloud services, big data frameworks (Spark, HBase, Kafka etc.).

    • Monitor model accuracy and performance; ensure compliance with data governance and ethical/Explainable AI frameworks 

3. Other Specialist Roles (2025‑26 DEAR Openings)

NABARD is engaging five specialists on contract for its DEAR function, including:

  • Data Engineer

  • Data Scientist‑cum‑BI Developer

  • Specialist – Data Management (SME)
