Job Role: Assistant Highway Engineer

The Assistant Highway Engineer plays a key technical role in planning, execution, supervision, and monitoring of highway infrastructure projects undertaken by NHIPMPL. They assist in ensuring timely completion, adherence to specifications, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Supervision & Monitoring:
   • Assist in overseeing the construction and maintenance of national highway projects.
   • Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and technical specifications.
2. Design & Documentation:
   • Review design drawings, detailed project reports (DPRs), and technical documents.
   • Support in preparing estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and tender documents.
3. Site Inspection:
   • Conduct site visits to assess progress and quality of work.
   • Identify construction challenges and assist in resolving technical issues on-site.
4. Coordination & Communication:
   • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders for seamless project execution.
   • Report regularly to senior engineers and project managers on project status.
5. Compliance & Safety:
   • Ensure that all engineering activities comply with MoRTH/IRC standards and environmental/safety regulations.
   • Monitor and support the implementation of quality assurance and safety procedures.
6. Technical Assistance:
   • Provide technical inputs in execution, alignment surveys, material testing, pavement design, and structural analysis.
   • Assist in preparing technical presentations and progress reports.
7. Data Collection & Analysis:
   • Support in collecting and analyzing highway performance data, traffic surveys, and geotechnical investigations.
8. Software Use:
   • Use engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MX Road, Civil 3D, etc.) for design and analysis tasks.
