Job Role: Scouts and Guides Quota (Group C & D Posts)
Under the Scouts and Guides quota, selected candidates are appointed to regular Group ‘C’ and erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts in the Northeast Frontier Railway.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Participation in Scout/Guide Activities:
- Actively participate in Scouts and Guides programs and camps at district, state, and national levels.
- Promote the values and discipline of the Bharat Scouts and Guides movement.
2. Assistance in Community Welfare Programs:
- Organize and assist in community development and social service programs.
- Take part in awareness drives, cleanliness campaigns, and health initiatives run by Indian Railways or Scouts & Guides.
3. Cultural and Leadership Representation:
- Represent the railway in inter-railway and zonal Scouts and Guides meets.
- Help promote cultural, heritage, and leadership values among fellow railway personnel and youth.
4. Railway Work Responsibilities (Group C or D Post Duties):
In addition to Scouts/Guides activities, selected candidates will carry out duties relevant to their assigned post such as:
- Group C Posts: Clerical, commercial, or technical assistant-level tasks depending on departmental allocation.
- Group D Posts: General duties like track maintenance, porter services, cleaning, or workshop assistance.
5. Mentoring & Training:
- Conduct training and orientation sessions for new Scouts/Guides within the railway.
- Act as a mentor to promote moral discipline and civic sense among young members.
