SBI Recruitment 2025 Age Limit (as on 01-04-2025)
- Minimum Age Limit: Not below 21 Years
- Maximum Age limit: Not above 30 Years

Qualification
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
- Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 30.09.2025.
- Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 30.09.2025.
- Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant etc. would also be eligible.
Salary
- Presently, the starting basic pay is 48,480/- (Plus 4 advance increments) in the scale of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I.
- The official will be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributory Pension Fund i.e., NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, Lease rental facility etc. and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time.
- The approximate CTC at initial scale of pay at Mumbai Centre is Rs.20.43 Lacs.

What is an SBI PO?

Entry-level officer role in SBI, designated as JMGS‑I (Junior Management Grade Scale‑I) after training.

Appointed for a 2-year probation/training period, working across SBI branches nationwide

2. Core Job Responsibilities
A. Branch Operations & Customer Service

Manage day‑to‑day banking operations (deposits, withdrawals, transfers).

Serve as first point of contact: address customer queries, resolve complaints, support account services like cheque books, ATM cards, demand drafts
B. Loans & Credit
-
Assess, evaluate, and recommend credit applications (personal, home, vehicle, business loans).

Interpret financial statements, conduct credit risk analysis, and ensure compliance with lending norms
C. Supervision & Team Leadership
-
Oversee work of clerical staff and other junior employees.

Mentor and guide the team to maintain performance standards and service quality
D. Financial Products & Cross‑Selling

Promote and cross‑sell SBI’s suite of financial products like mutual funds, insurance, term deposits, etc.

Achieve monthly or quarterly business targets in collaboration with the team
E. Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure branch operations adhere to RBI, SBI policies, anti‑money laundering, KYC norms.

Perform branch audits, report discrepancies, rectify compliance issues promptly
F. Community Outreach & Promotion

Participate in financial awareness camps, local community events, and promotional activities to enhance SBI’s brand and outreach .
3. Training & Career Progression

Initial training: Intensive, followed by rotation across various bank verticals during the 2‑year probation
