Job Role and Responsibilities of Sales Officer:

A Sales Officer in KCMMF (commonly known as MILMA) plays a vital role in promoting and increasing the sale of dairy products across Kerala and affiliated regions. The position involves coordination, marketing, and customer relationship management within the cooperative framework.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Marketing Execution:
    • Implement sales strategies to increase market share of MILMA products.
    • Promote various dairy and value-added products (milk, curd, butter, ghee, ice cream, etc.) to retail outlets, supermarkets, and institutions.
    • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and goals set by the federation.
  2. Distributor and Retailer Management:
    • Appoint and manage distributors, ensuring regular stock replenishment.
    • Provide training and support to distributors and retailers on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  3. Market Research and Feedback:
    • Gather market intelligence and competitor data to aid in strategic planning.
    • Analyze customer feedback and suggest improvements for product development or marketing tactics.
  4. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and channel partners.
    • Address and resolve customer queries, complaints, and service issues efficiently.
  5. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales, customer data, and inventory levels.
  6. Coordination with Internal Teams:
    • Work closely with the production, logistics, and accounts teams to ensure timely supply and billing.
    • Participate in promotional events, exhibitions, and awareness campaigns.
  7. Field Work and Travel:
    • Frequent travel within the assigned region to visit retailers, stockists, and customers.
    • Conduct field surveys and market visits to evaluate product visibility and availability.
