Job Role:

The Scientist B at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) is primarily responsible for scientific research, development, and innovation in biomedical science and technology, contributing to the institute's projects, publications, and clinical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research & Development:
   • Conduct independent and collaborative research in biomedical sciences, medical technology, or related fields.
   • Design and implement experiments, studies, or prototypes based on project requirements.
2. Project Management:
   • Plan, coordinate, and manage research projects funded by internal or external agencies.
   • Prepare project proposals, technical reports, and documentation.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting:
   • Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental and clinical data.
   • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences/seminars.
4. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
   • Work closely with clinicians, engineers, and scientists in multi-disciplinary teams.
   • Support translational research for clinical implementation.
5. Laboratory Oversight:
   • Supervise junior research staff, fellows, or trainees.
   • Maintain lab equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
6. Innovation & Technology Transfer:
   • Participate in the development of patents, prototypes, and innovative healthcare solutions.
