Job Role: Vaccine Cold Chain Manager
The Vaccine Cold Chain Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient storage, distribution, and monitoring of vaccines within the cold chain system as per the national immunization guidelines. The role supports public health initiatives by maintaining the potency and effectiveness of vaccines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cold Chain Management:
- Ensure proper storage and temperature maintenance of vaccines (2°C to 8°C) at all storage points.
- Monitor and manage vaccine cold chain equipment (WIC/WIF, ILR, DF, cold boxes, vaccine carriers, etc.).
- Temperature Monitoring:
- Regularly monitor and record temperature logs using thermometers/data loggers.
- Respond to temperature excursions promptly and take corrective actions.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of vaccine stocks, receipts, dispatches, and wastage.
- Implement FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) for vaccine distribution.
