Job Role: Graduate Apprentice

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training in Respective Discipline:
   • Undergo one-year apprenticeship training in designated disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics, Computer Science, Safety, etc.
   • Learn and assist in day-to-day activities of their respective engineering departments.
2. Support Engineering Operations:
   • Assist senior engineers in shipbuilding, repair, design, and production tasks.
   • Participate in inspection, testing, and maintenance of systems and equipment.
3. Documentation & Reporting:
   • Maintain technical logs, daily work reports, and progress documentation as per training guidelines.
4. Safety and Quality Compliance:
   • Follow all safety norms, SOPs, and quality standards during the training period.
   • Report any deviations or safety hazards to supervisors.
5. Technical Learning and Skill Development:
   • Participate in workshops, seminars, and practical training sessions to enhance technical skills.
   • Work with software tools relevant to their trade (e.g., CAD tools for Mechanical/Civil).
6. Departmental Rotation:
   • Rotate through various departments to gain holistic exposure (depending on CSL’s training structure).
7. Project Assistance:
   • Assist in assigned projects related to ship construction, marine design, or process improvements.

Job Role: Technician (Diploma) Apprentice

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hands-On Practical Training:
   • Undergo one-year apprenticeship training in technical departments based on their diploma discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Instrumentation, etc.).
   • Gain exposure to real-time operations in shipbuilding, repair, and marine systems.
2. Assisting Technical Teams:
   • Support senior technicians and engineers in installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of mechanical/electrical/marine systems.
   • Handle tools and equipment relevant to their trade under supervision.
3. Workshop and Field Work:
   • Participate in workshop activities including welding, fabrication, machining, and component assembly.
   • Learn about dry-docking and hull maintenance of ships.
4. Data Logging & Record Maintenance:
   • Maintain logbooks, inspection checklists, material usage records, and work reports as part of learning and documentation.
5. Safety Compliance:
   • Strictly adhere to workplace safety standards and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in shop floors or docks.
   • Follow CSL's environment, health, and safety (EHS) protocols.
6. Skill Development:
   • Attend training programs, toolbox talks, and safety drills organized by CSL to improve professional skills.
7. Departmental Rotation:
   • Rotate through relevant technical departments to get cross-functional exposure and experience.
8. Support in Routine Maintenance:
