​ICF Recruitment 2025 Important Dates

​ICF Recruitment 2025 Age Limit (as on 11-08-2025)

• Minimum Age Limit: 15 Years
• Maximum Age Limit For ITI candidates: 24 Years
• Maximum Age Limit For Non ITI candidates: 22 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Qualification

• Candidates with higher qualifications than 10th/Matric/SSLC viz. Degree / Diploma, Engineering Degree and Course Completed Act Apprentices are not eligible to apply for Act Apprenticeship. (Except MLT where the qualification is 12th/HSC).

Rate of Stipend

• Freshers -School pass-outs (class 10th) Rs 6000/- (per month)
• Freshers -School pass-outs (class 12th) Rs 7000/- (per month)
• Ex-ITI-National or State certificate holder Rs 7000/- (per month)

Typical Apprentice Trades & Roles

While the exact trades may vary, apprenticeships at ICF usually include the following disciplines:

• Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Electrician, Painter, Carpenter

• Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) – both Radiology & Pathology streams

• Other relevant technical roles

Primary responsibilities include:

• Assisting skilled tradespersons in the assembly, maintenance, and repair of railway coaches and components.

• Operating workshop equipment (milling machines, lathes, welding tools, etc.) under guided supervision.

• Inspecting and ensuring the quality of manufactured parts and finished assemblies.

• Following safety standards in alignment with the Apprenticeship Act and Railway safety protocols.

• Attending theoretical training sessions and workshops to reinforce practical skills.

• Documenting work progress, tool usage, and learnings as required for certification.

Stipend & Engagement Details

According to the notification:

• 10th pass apprentices receive approximately ₹6,000/month.

• 12th pass and ex-ITI apprentices earn around ₹7,000/month 

These payments comply with standard Apprenticeship Act guidelines, ongoing throughout the training period (typically under one year, per regulations).
