Qualification

Salary
- Senior Resident: Rs. 67,700/- as per level -11 of the 7th CPC matrix + other allowances per month as per rules applicable. (An amount of Rs. 1350/- to be deducted if the SRs possess only diploma degree).
- Full Time Specialist on Contract Basis: For Junior Specialist, (Level 11; 3 Yrs. Exp. post PG as per RR) Rs. 1,46,232/- For Senior Specialist (Level 12; 5 Yrs. Exp. post PG as per RR) Rs 1,70,208/-
- Part time specialist on Contract Basis: Part time Contractual specialist - Rs 60,000/- (Sixty Thousand only) per month as consolidated remuneration for 16 hours/week and

Job Role:
Senior Resident
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Duties:
- Provide comprehensive patient care in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency departments.
- Attend to patient rounds, clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Perform minor and major medical procedures under the supervision of senior consultants.
- Academic and Clinical Training:
- Participate in teaching and training of interns, junior residents, and medical/nursing students.
- Engage in clinical discussions, case presentations, and journal clubs.
- Continuously upgrade knowledge through CMEs, workshops, and seminars.
- Medical Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of patient history, treatment, investigations, and progress notes.
- Prepare discharge summaries and medical reports in accordance with hospital policy.
- Emergency Services:
- Provide prompt emergency medical services during night shifts, holidays, or as per roster.
- Assist in handling medico-legal cases and provide necessary documentation.
- Departmental Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing departmental meetings and clinical audits.
- Help in managing hospital protocols, infection control, and quality assurance measures.
- Research & Development:
- Contribute to clinical research and publish in relevant medical journals.
- Participate in departmental or institutional research projects, if any.
- Administrative Duties:
- Adhere to ESIC rules, regulations, and policies.
- Carry out tasks assigned by the HOD or Medical Superintendent as needed.
Job Role:
Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Services:
- Provide expert consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in the respective specialty.
- Conduct specialty-specific procedures and supervise patient management in OPD, IPD, and emergency settings.
- Support junior doctors and residents in clinical decision-making and procedures.
2. Patient Management:
- Ensure proper care and monitoring of admitted patients under the specialist’s department.
- Handle medico-legal cases and emergencies as per institutional protocol.
- Provide follow-up care and assist in referral services when required.
3. Departmental Duties:
- Lead and participate in ward rounds, specialty clinics, and case discussions.
- Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and treatment summaries.
- Coordinate with other departments for integrated patient care.
4. Training & Supervision:
- Guide and train medical officers, junior residents, and paramedical staff.
- Contribute to academic activities like seminars, CMEs, and workshops.
5. Administrative & Legal Responsibilities:
- Adhere to ESIC rules and ethical medical practices.
- Maintain documentation for billing, audits, and medico-legal formalities.
- Fulfill duties as assigned by the Medical Superintendent or Head of Department.
6. Contractual Obligations:
- Render services for the specified duration under the contract.
- Follow working hours, attendance norms, and code of conduct as per ESIC regulations.
- No private practice is allowed for full-time contractual specialists.
