 Role & Responsibilities

Law Researcher (Law)

  • Assist in archival research of judicial records.

  • Study and compile legal documents, judgments, case laws, and judicial trends.

  • Support preparation of legal histories, annotations, indexes for archiving.

  • Provide written research briefs and assist historians and legal scholars.

Law Researcher (History)

  • Research the historical development of Odisha's judicial system.

  • Gather and analyse archival records—colonial-era and post-independence materials.

  • Help document institutional history, biographies of judicial functionaries, and legacy projects.

  • Collaborate with legal researchers to contextualise history in legal frameworks.

These roles fall under the Judicial History Project, intended to preserve and present the judicial heritage of Odisha
