Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Plant Science / Botany / Biotechnology / Life Sciences 
• Master’s Degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology
• B.Tech. in Biotechnology
• M.Sc. (Chemistry) from a recognized university or equivalent
• M.Sc. in Marine Sciences /Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences
• M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Botany/Marine Biology
• B.Tech. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Salary

• Rs.31,000/- + HRA.

1. Project Associate I (PAT‑I) – Mangrove Bioprospecting (Advt. No. MMP025302/WP02/DRC/2025/01)

• Vacancies: 2 posts

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry

• Preferred Skills: Knowledge and hands-on experience with Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR), microbial community analysis (NGS), metabolite profiling, field lab ethics

• Salary: ₹31,000 + HRA for NET/GATE/Govt‑exam qualified candidates; ₹25,000 + HRA otherwise

• Job Description: Work on CSIR-sponsored Bioresource Conservation and Prospection project (WP‑02 “Bio‑prospection of Mangroves”). Responsibilities include designing and executing experiments and visiting mangrove sites to achieve project objectives

• Interview Date: 24 July 2025 at CSMCRI Bhavnagar, starting 10 AM c

2. Project Associate I (PAT‑I) – Seaweed Variant Development (Advt. No. HCP0024‑III/WP02/2025/01)

• Vacancies: 4 posts

• Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany / Biotechnology / Life Sciences

• Desired Experience: Plant biotechnology, biochemistry, and general laboratory skills; field work including visits to seaweed cultivation sites 

• Salary: ₹31,000 + HRA (NET/GATE-qualified); ₹25,000 + HRA otherwise

• Job Description: Development of improved Kappaphycus and Gracilaria seaweed variants via non-GMO methods. The role includes lab work and field visits to cultivation sites 

• Interview Date: 21 July 2025 at CSMCRI Bhavnagar, starting at 9:15 AM 

Common Conditions Across These Positions:

• Maximum Age Limit: 35 years as on date of interview (relaxable per CSIR norms)
