THSTI SIB Fellow Notification 2025 Age Limit

• Age limit: 35 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Qualification

• Science: M.Sc./Ph.D in any branch of Life Sciences/ Chemistry or related field from a recognized university. OR
• Engineering: B.E./ B.Tech/ M.E./ M.Tech from a recognized university OR
• Medicine: MBBS/ BDS/ BVSc from a recognized university. OR
• Design: Masters in Product or Industrial Design from a recognized university. OR
• Business: MBA with a background in Life Science/ Engineering.

 Role & Responsibilities

The SiB Fellows are part of a pan‑India fellowship programme involving THSTI, IIT Madras, CMC Vellore, PGI Chandigarh, and Venture Centre, Pune. The main duties are:

• Support program objectives — handle technical and administrative tasks to further SiB’s diagnostic‑innovation goals 

• Collaborate with scientists — assist in diagnostic device development, including conceptualisation, prototyping, validation, and translation 

• End-to-end diagnostics development exposure — gain hands-on experience across the full innovation pipeline: ideation → validation → commercialization → real-world application 

• Engage in commercialization activities — contribute to strategies around market entry, scale‑up, regulatory compliance, and business feasibility.

• Foster innovation and entrepreneurship — build problem‑solving skills and social‑impact thinking, refining skills for future product innovation and possible startups within the diagnostics domain.

Eligibility & Benefits (contextual relevance)

• Qualifications: M.Sc./Ph.D. in life sciences/chemistry; B.Tech/M.Tech; MBBS/BDS/BVSc; Masters in product/industrial design; or MBA with science/engineering background 

• Age cap: 35 years (age relaxations per norms) .

• Fellowship stipend: Up to ₹60,000/month consolidated
