Master of Design is a two year post graduate programme. Fashion design is the art of the application of design and aesthetics or natural beauty to clothing and accessories. Fashion design is influenced by cultural and social latitudes, and has varied over time and place. The course will enable you to apply advanced theory and practice to your chosen specialisms. As a student, you'll explore original conceptual design principles and methodologies in response to global fashion needs. This will enable you to create, develop and manage your portfolio and present a finished product, collection or prototypes which demonstrate research and technical design prowess. You will be able to develop your thinking and skills in the following areas:

How is Master of Design Beneficial?
Course enables the students to go for various Fashion Designing Industry, Film Industry and teaching related jobs. Candidates can go for higher degree programs in respective subjects such as M.Phil., etc. They can become teacher in schools and lecturer in colleges after having passed UGC-NET exam. They have also the option of starting their own business and can also start it in partnership with others.

  • Bachelor degree with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC / ST candidate) or any other equivalent qualification.

Master of Design Course Suitability
