Bachelor of Science in Dress Designing is an undergraduate Fashion and Interior Designing course. Dress Designing is the art of the application of design and aesthetics or natural beauty to clothing and accessories. Dress Designing is influenced by cultural and social latitudes, and has varied over time and place. Dress designers work in a number of ways in designing clothing and accessories. Some work alone or as part of a team. They attempt to satisfy consumer desire for aesthetically designed clothing; and, because of the time required to bring a garment onto the market, must at times anticipate changing consumer tastes. The duration of the course is three years and it is career orienting in nature that provides many jobs to the candidates after its successful completion.
How is B.Sc. Dress Designing Course Beneficial?
- Candidates can work in areas like designer wear production, planning and concept management, fashion marketing, design production management, fashion media, quality control, fashion accessory design and promotion of brands.
- They can create an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD).
- They can go for further degree like Master degree and then for further research studies. They can have jobs in small scale industries and also can start their own business.
