Key Responsibilities
Pre-Production:
- Researching and developing scripts, themes, and visual concepts.
- Creating shot lists and storyboards to outline the visual approach.
- Securing locations, managing budgets, and planning production schedules.
Production:
- Directing camera and lighting crews, determining optimal lighting and color for scenes.
- Operating and overseeing digital camera equipment and other production gear.
- Collaborating with actors, directors, and other crew members to bring the creative vision to life.
Post-Production:
- Editing raw footage into a coherent and engaging final product.
- Overseeing sound editing, color grading, and the addition of visual effects.
- Reformatting content for various digital platforms, including social media.
Collaboration and Management:
- Working closely with directors, writers, and other filmmakers to interpret scripts and develop the overall vision.
- Communicating effectively with team members and providing clear direction to inspire and manage crew members.
- Providing a point of liaison between the set and post-production teams to ensure a smooth workflow.
