Cardiovascular Technologists help doctors in diagnosing and treating cardiac (heart) and peripheral vascular (blood vessel) conditions preparing patients for open-heart surgery embedding pacemakers and checking patients during performing cardiovascular pressure tests. 

The job of a technician is to perform tasks that require less medical training. From the course the students will learn to use and maintain medical equipment and machines used in this field.

Eligibility Criteria for BSS Diploma in CVTS Technology

•   The applicant must have completed 10th Examination or Plus two or its equivalent from a recognized school board.

Job Types

• Cardiovascular Technologists use diagnostic cardiology equipment and monitor resultant data typically in assistance to a physician.

• Assist the cardio surgeon during surgery helping them to monitor the image of heart.

• Helps to figure out the cardiac condition by using cardiovascular technologies

• Have a strong desire for medical terminology, physiotherapy, general medical attention and postpartum attention.

• Should have ethics

• Those who are willing to work for consistent hours, or schedules

• Should have the ability to communicate technical information clearly to patients of all ages.

• Should be patient and understanding and have the capacity to calm patients who will be undergoing potentially uncomfortable and intimidating procedures.

• A detailed working knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the heart

• The ability to optimize images

• A thorough understanding of cardiac pathology and its effects on the heart

• The ability to understand appearance of normal and abnormal cardiac conditions
