The public relations officer is the head of communications, public relations, or public affairs in an organization. The public relations officer of an organization is the corporate official basically answerable for dealing with the communications risks and opportunities of a business, both internally and externally. This official is commonly liable for communications to a wide range of stakeholders or partners, including employees, investors, media, bloggers, and influential members of the business network, the press, the community and the public.

Usually, the public relations officer may join forces with others in the organization to communicate with investors, analysts, customers and company Board members. Most organizations will depend on the public relations officer to advise and participate in decisions that may impact the ongoing reputation of the firm. Public Relations Officer can be used to protect, enhance or build reputations through the media, social media, or self-produced communications. Public relations people working for a company may deal with customer relations, or the relationship between parts of the company such as the chiefs, representatives, managers and employees or diverse branch workplaces.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Public Relations Officer

  • The applicant must be completed Tenth standard or Twelfth or its equivalent from a recognized school board.
