Health Sanitary Inspector works related to health hygienic. Conduct routine inspectional activities of food service establishments to assure safe, wholesome and sanitary food and food products, wherever produced, processed, distributed, transported or served. Health, safety, and sanitation inspectors are trained to identify hazards in the workplace and environment. These can include biological, chemical, radiological, or physical hazards. Health Sanitary Inspectors are exposed to dangerous locations, equipment, and materials and must wear protective clothing and gear to minimize risk of illness and injury. Eligibility Criteria for BSS Diploma in Sanitary Health Inspector

• The applicant must be completed Tenth standard or Twelfth or its equivalent from a recognized school board.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collecting samples for analysis

• Investigating accidents

• Making recommendations to ensure workplace environment safety.

• Conduct routine inspectional activities of food service establishments to assure safe, wholesome and sanitary food and food products, wherever produced, processed, distributed, transported or served

• Authorize issuance of licenses and permits for food establishments, or deny when necessary. Investigate food borne illnesses

• Inspect premises where animals are stabled, for the purpose of granting a permit

• Inspect recreational areas and water to assure that recreational and swimming areas are designed and maintained so as to prevent health and safety problems

• Conduct routine housing (shelter) inspections to assure adequate, safe and healthful housing for all people

• Observe and record general conditions present

• Identify deficiencies and violations

• Interview people on-site for additional information

• Conduct follow-up re-inspections

Higher Studies after BSS Diploma in Sanitary Health Inspector

• Students who have qualified Tenth and completed two year of BSS Diploma course in Sanitary Health Inspector are eligible to get direct admission to the second year of B. Voc in Sanitary Health Inspector course (3rd semester)

• Students who have completed Twelfth and  two year of BSS Diploma course in Sanitary Health Inspector is eligible to get direct admission to the third year of B. Voc in Sanitary Health Inspector course (5th semester)
