New Delhi : NSDC join hands with US-India ACP for aviation skill development. With the clear focus on up scaling the efforts of Skill Development in the aviation sector and bridge the demand and supply gap in the sector, a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC)

With the clear focus on up scaling the efforts of Skill Development in the aviation sector and bridge the demand and supply gap in the sector, a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) was signed between National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC and United States - India Aviation Cooperation Program (ACP). 

 
The MoC was signed by Manish Kumar, MD and CEO, NSDC and Sandeep Bahl, Program Director, US-India Aviation Cooperation Program in the august presence of Rajiv Nayan Choubey, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation and MsLeocadia I. Zak, Director, US Trade and Development Agency. This is another big step post a similar partnership between the NSDC and the Airports Authority of India to develop high quality infrastructure and skilled manpower focused on the sector. 
 
The Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship has setup the Aerospace & Aviation Sector Skill Council with leading corporate to develop both domestic and transnational standards and capacity for training delivery in various areas in the sector.  “India is going to be one of the largest aviation markets in the world and we are committed to create transnational skilled manpower to support the sector. With this collaboration I am confident that Aviation sector will start breeding best skilled talent pool from India which will not only address the skill gap in Indian aviation sector but will also address the requirements of other markets around the world,” Rajiv Pratap Rudy, MoS for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said.
 
 
The U.S-India Aviation Cooperation Program was established in 2007 as a public-private partnership between the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, other US Government agencies and U.S. Companies. 
 
The ACP supports the growth of the Indian civil aerospace sector to identify and execute projects that encourage collaborations between US and Indian stakeholders, in the area of aerospace technology and best practices.
