Master of Cosmetic Technology is a postgraduate Medicine course. Cosmetic Technology is a science which is used to enhance the appearance or odour of the human body. The procedure is generally mixtures of chemical compounds, some being derived from natural sources, many being synthetic. The duration of the course is two years and it offers many career opportunities after it successful passing. The admission to this course is given on the basis of entrance test conducted by the respective institute. Students have many scopes after it such as further research studies.

How is Master of Cosmetic Technology Course Beneficial?

The course helps to advance the science of cosmetic and toiletries and special emphasis on the preparations from herbal and natural origin. After passing the course applicants can become lecturer in colleges/universities after passing some certain educational qualifications such as UGC NET exam which is must for lectureship. Other benefit of this course is to encourage research and development in cosmetic and related sciences. This course also gives them good and solid base for further studies in this field.

Course Suitability

Students having good knowledge related to cosmetic products with other related sciences like dermatology, formulation development, physical pharmacy, herbal technology, marketing, regulatory issues and quality assurance are good suit for it. Applicants who want to become lecturer or have further research studies are also suitable for it. They also possess good knowledge of latest updates of regarding cosmetic technologies and other latest trends in this field.

Eligibility

•    The candidates should have Bachelors degree under 10+2+3/4/5, pattern of education in B.Pharm., B.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Environmental  Sciences, Bio-technology, Agricultural, Veterinary, Fishery & Dairy Sciences, Medicine (MBBS),  BDS, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Medical Laboratory Technology, BHMS, BAMS, B. Tech./B.E. Biotechnology, Physiotherapy and Bio-medical Engineering with at least 50% marks as aggregate of all the semester / years.  
•    Candidates who have appeared for the final semester of qualifying examination can also apply. In such case, the candidates are required to submit the results as soon as the results are available either by fax or by email (scanned image).
