Doctor of Medicine in Dermatology is a postgraduate Dermatology programme. Dermatologists devote their skills and energy to treating medical conditions of the skin, such as acne, rashes, rosaceous, warts and various forms of skin cancer. They use the latest research to conquer acute or chronic diseases that can be life-altering. All dermatologists are trained in surgical procedures, but some choose to specialize in surgery, often using leading-edge techniques invented and perfected by their fellow dermatologists. Course also provides knowledge of cosmetic dermatology procedures using the latest techniques and state of the art equipment.

The degree course is suitable to treat any disorder or concern of the skin, sweat glands, hair and nails including Acne, Aging Skin, Allergic Skin, Alopecia (Hair Loss), Actinic Keratoses (Pre-cancerous Lesions), Basal Cell Carcinoma, Dermatitis, Dry Skin, Eczema, Fungal, Infections, Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating), Melanoma, Melasma, Moles, Nail Disease, Oily Skin, Psoriasis, Rosacea, Sensitive Skin, Skin Cancer, Skin Rashes, Sun Damage, Varicose Veins, Vitiligo, Warts. It is beneficial to improve the health and appearance of the skin with a whole host of surgical and non-surgical treatments including filling in or smoothing out wrinkles and scars, eliminating spider veins or skin discolorations, resurfacing skin with microdermabrasion or chemical peels, and removing or replacing hair. The Course is also beneficial for further studies such as Ph.D. etc.

Course Suitability

They must possess personal traits such as a good bed-side manner, warm and approachable personality, friendly and confident demeanour, and attention to patients' needs or concerns. They should be familiar with current trends and organizational issues in medical education. Applicants also possess managerial and leadership skills related to committee function in an academic institution and operate effectively within academic institutions. Candidates willing for further degrees also are good match for it.
