Agricultural Supervisors are professional responsible for the daily planning, organisation, supervision and administration of activities on farm estates like to raise animals, tend crops, plan strategies for maximum yield, organise farm administration, work machinery, organise associated businessess and manage staff. They boost the development of crops, animals and other items thet can be sold to businesses or private consumers. They manage the daily operations of commercial agricultural operations, such as nurseries and large farms, or they may look over farming operations for absentee landowners or farmers in need of management assistance.

• Agricultural supervisors must have capability of making policy decisions; budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records; organising sales and purchases of livestock, farm equipment, crops and agricultural products.

• They should also be able to handle paperwork and keeping administrative records; recruiting, training/instructing and supervising farm workers; making sure that work progresses satisfactorily.

• They must ba able to keep themselves up-to-date knowledge of pests and diseases; ensuring that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets; organising maintenance/repair of farm property, equipment and machinery.

• Other required skills they should have, are initiative, flexibility and good communication; analytical, it skills and technical knowledge of the environment; marketing and sales skills.
