Forest Management is a division of forestry that deals with the overall economic, administrative, legal and social aspects and with the scientific and technical knowledge related to growth and preservation of forests. Forest Management also includes silviculture (forest development), forest menstruation (measuring trees), protection, managing natural and other resources.

Forest Management skills involves planting and replanting of different species, cutting roads and pathways through forests, timber extraction and preventing fire. Forests also need care and security. India acquires around 16% of the world's population and 15 % of world's livestock, with only 2.4 % of the world's land area and 1.7 % of the world's forest stock.

Environmental Management is a division of management that studies designing and implementing environmental friendly policies, regulations and programs. It also deals with study of environmental pollution and their control methods, gaining knowledge on environmental policies and to develop management methodologies for environmental pollution control.
 
Environmental managers handle administrative functions overlooking different environmental aspects affecting organizations in their developmental projects. Environmental expert discovers and addresses these problems and provides prospects and suggestions for companies to embrace environmental management in a mutually beneficial manner to themselves and society at large.

Basic Eligibility

UG:

For admission into a under graduate program a candidate must have completed his/her higher secondary education or 10+2 from a recognized institute. The duration of the program is of 3 years.

PG:

For admission into a post graduate program the eligibility criteria varies depending upon the course and the college. Some might require graduates with/without MBA entrance exam scores. The duration of the program is of 2 years.
