Master of Science in Environment Science is a postgraduate Environmental Science course. Environmental science is an interdisciplinary academic field that integrates physical and biological sciences, (including but not limited to Ecology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Soil Science, Geology, Atmospheric Science and Geography) to the study of the environment, and the solution of environmental problems. Environmental science provides an integrated, quantitative, and interdisciplinary approach to the study of environmental systems. The duration of M.Sc. in Environment Science is mostly of two academic years but it may vary from institute to institute and may be on part time basis. The syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters.
Eligibility
Students must be passed Bachelor’s Degree from any recognised University or its equivalent examination with any of the following subjects like Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Geology, Geography, Life Sciences, Fisheries Science, B.E.(Civil Engineering), Environmental Engineering, Agriculture, Physics, Biotechnology and secured minimum 50% marks (45% is case of SC/ST candidates) in the above mentioned examination.
Candidates who have appeared or who are likely to appear for the qualifying examination i.e. B.Sc. or equivalent but whose results have not been as yet declared can also appear for this entrance test provided they have offered the mentioned subjects at the said examination.
