Urology also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Organs under the domain of urology include the kidneys, adrenal glands, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra, and the male reproductive organs (testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate, and penis).

Urology technicians are the type of clinical laboratory technician who perform tests on urine samples under the supervision of urologists and other health care professionals. 

Eligibility Criteria for B.Voc in Urology Technology

• Students who completed plus two and two year of BSS Diploma course in Urology Technology is eligible to get direct admission to the third year of B. Voc course (5th semester)

• Those who qualified SSLC and two year of BSS Diploma course in  Urology Technology are eligible to get direct admission to the second year of B. Voc course (3rd semester)

Course Duration

• Three years for those who enter into the course generally.

• Candidates who completed BSS diploma course are possible to get admission through lateral entry scheme (For further reference check Eligibility criteria section)

Skills Required

• Requires attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tests with accuracy. 

• Report the results of their work with clinical laboratory technologists and medical personnel

• Good written and oral communication skills.
